Star of Batman Film Visits Colorado Victims

Batman star Christian Bale has visited the survivors of the cinema shooting in Colorado that happened last week.
Bale, who plays Batman, thanked the medical staff and police who responded to the attack, ensuring the safety of as many people as possible. With the massacre being an unexpected incident, police and medical staff were on last-minute call and it was thanks to their magnificent work that many people were rescued.
The perpetrator, 24 year-old James Holmes, is accused of killing 12 and injuring 58 innocent people at a midnight showing of the new Batman film. If he’s found guilty, he could potentially face the death penalty.
An online campaign had urged Bale to visit the survivors in hospital, and the actor did just that.
A spokesman from Warner Bros told the Denver Post that Bale was representing himself and not the studio.
The Oscar-winning actor also made a written statement saying “Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”
Other stars that have also visited the survivors are U.S president, Barack Obama and members of the Denver Broncos American football team.
An incident like this should never have to occur and prayers are with those who have lost friends and family. However, stars like Christian Bale and Obama visiting the survivors of the attack might put a smile back on their faces.
