BFI: THE LINE-UP OF THE 67TH EDITION OF THE LONDON FILM FESTIVAL IS UNVEILED

Other | Monday 11th September 2023 | Francesco

The London Film Festival is back with a total of 225 titles – comprising features, shorts, XR works and series – films from 92 countries and in 93 languages.  99 works come from female and non-binary filmmakers – 39% of the total programme. It will take place across 12 days, on October 4-15, 2023.

Unless the SAG-AFTRA strike continues into October, the festival welcomes leading stars from across the international film industry. This year's line-up includes highly-anticipated movies as the Golden Lion Winner Lanthimos’ Poor Things with Emma Stone, Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn with Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan, David Fincher’s The KillerMaestro directed and starring Bradley Cooper, as well as the new feature film by Sofia Coppola, Priscilla with Cailee Spaeny and Elordi (again); and Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon

Among the special presentations, be sure not to miss The Boy and the Heron directed by Hayao Miyazaki and Hit Man by Richard Linklater.

Kristy Matheson, BFI London Film Festival director, commented: “In preparing this 2023 festival, my colleagues and I have been endlessly buoyed by the artistry, ideas, and talented individuals and communities that have come into our orbit. It’s now time to share all of this wonder, and we can’t wait for audiences to experience it all this October here in London and across the UK with  LFF on Tour and online on BFI Player.”

The festival will open with Saltburn, and will close with The Kitchen, directed by Kibwe Tavares and Daniel Kaluuya.

Full details about guests, Q&As with directors and actors, and special events will be announced in the coming weeks. You can find the line-up here.
