Zoologists Catalogue Critically Endangered Animal Species In Upcoming Documentary 'The Red List'

Other | Wednesday 28th February 2018 | David

Discovery Communications are working on a new two-hour nature documentary film called The Red List, which will be developed in collaboration with Natural History Unit.

Directed by Steve Greenwood, who also helmed episodes of the documentary series Amazon Abyss, the film will chronicle the exploits of various nature conservationists as they attempt to catalogue the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List of Threatened Species, which, as its name suggests, is a list which details the quantities of endangered animal species.

Deadline quoted BBC Studios director Mark Linsey as saying that The Red List “heralds a new dawn for BBC Studios” and that it will be “unmissable”, so you should probably be looking forward to seeing the film when it debuts in 2020.

In the meantime, you can learn more about the Red List itself and what you can do to help by visiting the Red List area on the International Union for Conservation of Nature's official website
