Stefflon Don is The Real Ting!

From her striking blue hair, to her ability to switch inbetween genres so easily, Stefflon Don is one of the UK's biggest upcoming talents.
The Birmingham born British-Jamaican rapper is hitting the grime scene with her fresh style and ever-changing style.
She quickly rose to fame in 2015 with her freestyle over Section Boyz's Lock Arff. Since then she has been recording her own music and is gaining popularity fast. She's since been featured in songs with big grime stars such as Lethal Bizzle and Krept n Konan.
Born in Birmingham to Jamaican parents, she spent her childhood in Holland before moving to London at the age of 15.
Her music features a blend of influences from rap to hip-hop, to dancehall to bubbling a sub-genre of Dancehall that originates in Holland.
She switches between styles as well as moves between her London accent and Jamaican patois.
Her two big tracks, Real Ting and 16 Shots are different genres and both have different styles.
Real Ting is a heavy grime tune where Stefflon goes between Patois and her London accent during her rapping. The song has drill influences and shows her hard side. Whereas in 16 Shots Stefflon sings as well as raps, and has big dance-hall and bubbling influences.
Her latest vibey track 16 Shots features a bit of everything,with the video filmed in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The video has some amazing visuals and stunning drone shots of the streets and beach. She is an artist who has a great presence and makes herself seen in every occasion. Don has a bold sexy look and her style makes her stand out greatly. A sun-kissed summer vid that makes you want to dance.
With the female Grime scene expanding more and more every year with other artists such as Nadia Rose and Paigey Cakey, we can see the grime scene soon being full of as many females as males.
