Creed (Ryan Coogler) Drama | Sport
We all know the story of Rocky Balboa, but what happened to his great friend and rival, Apollo Creed? He died and fathered a boxing protégé, that’s what. Sylvester Stallone reprises his role as Rocky, who mentors Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan), the aforementioned protégé, with the dream of becoming world champion to please his late father, and great trainer.
The Revenant (Alejandro González Iñárritu) Adventure | Drama | Thriller
One of the most anticipated films of early 2016, The Revenant is one of Leonardo DiCaprio’s best shots at winning that elusive Oscar. Having won three Golden Globes, Alejandro González Iñárritu’s latest film about the potential of human willpower is expected to do well at the Academy Awards. Hopefully you will hold out streaming or downloading the leaked copy of the film, and experience it in glorious HD at the cinema!
Room (Lenny Abrahamson) Drama
This Golden Globe-winning creation from Irish director, Lenny Abrahamson, focuses around the relationship between a mother and her 10 year old son whilst living in a windowless 10 foot by 10 foot area, affectionately named ‘Room’. The challenge is not living within this enclosure, the challenge lies in having to face the real world.
Ip Man 3 (Wilson Yip) Action | Drama | Biography
Master Ip returns for a third time after a band of gangsters led by a crooked property tycoon threaten to take over the city. Expect plenty of extremely well-choreographed Wing Chun martial arts scenes and... Mike Tyson.
Dragon Blade (Daniel Lee) Action | Adventure | Drama
After hearing about the corrupt Roman general, Tiberius, turning up in China to claim the Silk Road, Jackie Chan teams up with John Cusack and a legion of elite, defected Roman soldiers to take him down and secure his country and his friends. Sounds… interesting.
