What's Your Number Review
Thursday 6th October 2011 | Osh
What’s Your Number presents us with a romantic comedy, most likely to be favoured by female viewers. After being sacked from her marketing job and feeling low, Ally resorts to her magazine to lighten her mood. During this read, Ally comes across an article which reveals that the average woman has had 10.5 lovers before finding ‘the one’. Worried about the number of men she has slept with, Ally then calculates her number to be nearly twice the average.
Determined to find the perfect man, Ally makes a deal with her promiscuous neighbour to allow him to hide out from his one-night encounters, in the agreement that he helps her track down her past boyfriends. From engaged to gay lovers, Ally finds it difficult to find a suitable match from her list of ex-boyfriends. As she tracks down past boyfriends, Ally then unknowingly begins to develop feelings towards her neighbour. Finally after deciding what she wants, Ally decides to go with her gut feeling, and reveals her feelings to her neighbour.
Although this film could be assumed as a little predictable, the different boyfriends, accents, and encounters that are confronted by Ally are indeed funny to watch on the big screen. Get your best girl mates round, as this will be your autumn ‘feel-good’ movie.
