Risk Documentary Delves Into the Life Of WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange

Other | Monday 3rd July 2017 | David

Regardless of how you feel about WikiLeaks and the way in which they distribute leaked information, there's still no denying that they’ve been supplying some the biggest news stories of the past decade.

A new feature-length documentary called Risk, from Citizenfour director Laura Poitras, sheds light on the life of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who has been living in London's Ecuadorian Embassy since 2012 (he faces being arrested if he as much as sets foots outside).

Assange was initially keen to participate, but as development progressed he began to have disagreements with the filmmakers and demanded that they make changes to the film. Either way, you’re unlikely to see such an eye-opening insight into the life of the man whose journalism has had such a monumental impact on politics over the last several years, so Risk is definitely essential viewing. It's currently playing in limited release and can be purchased on YouTube Video.
