The BFI London Film Festival is such an important event for the world of cinema, and it is turning sixty. The British Film Institute London Film Festival (simply BFI London Film Festival) is an annual film festival held in London, running in the second half of October with cooperation from the British Film Institute. It usually screens up to 300 films, along with documentaries and shorts from countries all over the world. BFI gives the unique opportunity to moviegoers of watching a first preview of incredible new movies of the new season. It will take place from 5 to 16 October 2016.
The festival welcomes leading stars from across the international film industry. This year's line-up includes buzzed movies as Dev Pavel's Lion, Brie Larson's Free Fire along with Sundance's critical acclaimed Manchester by the Sea, Isabelle Huppert's Elle, Malick's Vojage of Time, Stone's Snowden which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, The Birth of a Nation,Chazelle's La La Land, and Anna Asante’s United Kingdom will open the festival. The movie depicts the true story of Seretse Khama. The festival will also include the return of Tom Ford, after the incredible A Single Man, the director's new movie is Nocturnal Animals with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Hunger's and 12 Years a Slave's Steve McQueen will receive its highest accolade: the BFI Fellowship. The festival will proclaim its Best Film, last year it has been named so, the Greek comedy Chevalier, directed by Athina Rachel Tsangari.
