BREAKING NEWS: London is under attack by a terrorist organisation, George Clooney has been kidnapped during filming for his latest Hollywood blockbuster, two CBS anchors have lost their jobs after looking into George W. Bush's military service, and a woman has opened a door allowing hordes of dead spirits to roam free. Just another normal week here on planet Earth.

London Has Fallen (Babak Najafi) Action | Crime | Thriller
The sequel to 2013 blockbuster ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ is upon us. This time, instead of the White House being under assault, London is the target. Chances are you’ve seen the adverts for this film as they’re on every bus stop, billboard and ad break… like me, you may even be sick of the sight of it. At a time where Londoners aren’t exactly feeling ‘safe’ thanks to permanently being on red alert for terrorism, surely a film about London being attacked and blown up by a terrorist organisation is not exactly empathetic.

Goodnight Mommy (Veronika Franz, Severin Fiala) Drama | Mystery | Thriller
This Austrian horror focuses around two twin brothers who have their suspicions about their mother who has returned from having facial surgery. With her face wrapped in bandages, the boys cannot tell if the woman is in fact the woman who raised them. Out of the ambiguity of their mother’s character comes a great creepy story about trust and the struggle for identity.
Hail, Caesar! (Joel Cohen, Ethan Cohen) Comedy | Mystery
In the 1950s, during the filming of the latest blockbuster, ‘Hail, Caesar’, the star, Baird Whitlock (George Clooney), goes missing. Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin), a Hollywood ‘fixer’, gets thrown in at the deep end, having been given the task of trying to get Whitlock back from a gang of left-wing screenwriters. With a vastly talented cast including Clooney, Brolin, Scarlett Johansson, Ralph Fiennes, Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton and Jonah Hill among others, hilarity of the highest order is guaranteed!
The Other Side of the Door (Johannes Roberts) Horror
A family lives in perfect harmony abroad until their beloved son dies. After being told about a ritual that can bring her son back for one final goodbye, the distraught mother jumps at the opportunity. Traveling to an ancient temple where a mysterious door which allows the living to talk to the dead lies, the mother is told to never open it as it will unleash the dead into the living world… of course she fucking opens it. Cue creepy women with long hair and countless jump scenes.
Truth (James Vanderbilt) Biography | Drama
It seems that this is the year of the ‘uncovering massive scandal dramas. After the success of ‘Spotlight’ (Tom McCarthy’s drama about the uncovering of Catholic paedophiles) at the Oscars this year, having won the Best Picture gong, it seems that directors (and audiences) are favouring stories about real life corruption and drama. Truth is no different, focusing on the CBS 60 minute report in 2004 into then-president George W. Bush’s military service and the subsequent backlash that cost the anchor and co-anchor their careers.
