Premiere of super zombie production - World War Z

Friday 21st June 2013 | Emma

Today is the premiere of most expensive zombie movie ever made. World War Z producers including Brad Pitt who is playing leading role spend over $200million on the movie, which supposed to change the cheap rather second-plan Hollywood stereotype of horror-zombie movie industry.

In recent year zombie productions started to change and came out in many different forms. Surprisingly for many critics, many of them became hits. For example Walking Dead is a zombie TV series which won or was nominated to such awards as Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Award. Couple years ago in cinemas we could watch comedy-horror “Zombieland” starring Jessie Eisenberg and Emma Stone. Surprised combination of comedy and zombies-horror met a lot of positive opinions. Early this year another zombie movie premiere had “Warm bodies”, which on other hand is zombie-romance starring Nicholas Hoult. This time Brad Pitt coming back to original drama-apocalypse zombie story.

Are huge budget and multi-Oscar-nominate actors, can make undead movies to be consider as part of an A-list? For the first time so much money was spend on this genre, but is the zombie movies deserve to be on the top of Hollywood productions? Next few days will show.

See the trailer here, go to cinema and create your own opinion.
