Guestlist's guide to what's on in cinemas this week! The return of Tarantino with 'The Hateful Eight', Takashi Miike's fresh take on the Japanese gangsters in 'Yakuza Apocalypse' and a behind the scenes look at one of the world's most famous theatres, the Bolshoi, are waiting for you at cinemas all over the country this week.

6th January - 

Yakuza Apocalypse (Takeshi Miike) - Action | Comedy | Horror
Japanese cinema is well-known for being outlandish and crazy, so it's no surprise that legendary Japanese film maker, Takashi Miike is bringing us yet another action-packed blood fest, but with a terrifying twist... Yakuza vampires!



8th January - 

Bolshoi Babylon (Nick Read, Mark Franchetti) - Documentary
An exclusive, extremely rare behind-the-scenes look at what goes on backstage at Russia's 'Crown Jewel' - The Bolshoi Ballet. After a scandal involving acid being thrown in a choreographer's face spread around the world like wildfire, Nick Read and Mark Franchetti bring us this exposé highlighting how the world famous ballerinas have been affected by the horrific events.



The Hateful Eight (Quentin Tarantino) - Comedy | Drama | Action | Mystery
Chances are you've heard that Tarantino's latest creation has been leaked online, you may have even already seen it, but even still, this is a film which will best be enjoyed in the cinema. With an all-star cast giving life to Tarantino's brilliantly crafted characters, this looks to be an award season favourite.



Partisan (Ariel Kleiman) - Drama | Thriller
Australian director, Ariel Kleiman brings his first feature length film to the big screen. Partisan is a gritty drama about an isolated community of children led by a charismatic and determined man named Gregori, whilst also documenting the growing rebellion of a young boy, Alexander, who refuses to fall in line. Prepare to see sparks fly when the two collide.



A War (Tobias Lindholm) - Drama | War
After making a massive, life-changing decision to safe his men, Company commander Claus M. Pedersen has to live with the consequences of killing innocent children during the war in Afghanistan. Danish director, Tobias Lindholm, has managed to encapsulate the effects of war on not only those involved in it, but their families back home.
