This summer, London is full of incredible outdoor cinema events.
Watching a movie in the open air is the perfect way to spend an evening in the capital, and Camden Market Presents: Backyard Cinema Film Festival is one of the best series on offer.
Sitting in giant beanbags and deck chairs, people can choose between a selection of new releases and all-time classics. The variety is even greater this year thanks to two screens: the exciting main stage based in Camden Lock Place, and the more intimate Cuban Screen showing a more unusual range of indie flicks, documentaries and foreign language films.
This Friday, the Cuban Screen is showing indie flick Frances Ha, starring Greta Gerwig. This is the story of Frances who lives in New York, but she doesn't really have a her own home. Frances is an apprentice for a dance company, but she's not really a dancer. Frances has a best friend named Sophie, but they aren't really speaking anymore. Frances throws herself headlong into her dreams, even as their possible reality dwindles. Frances wants so much more than she has but lives her life with endless joy.
Head to the Backyard Cinema website to see what else is being screened this summer.
