Bond Gives Back
At the request of Prince Charles, the funds raised from the world premiere of Skyfall, the new James Bond film, will go towards helping members of Britain’s security services.
The release of Skyfall isn’t just exciting because well...it’s another Bond film, but it also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 007 franchise which started back in 1962 with the film Dr No, and this latest revelation just adds to the occasion.
Prince Charles wishes for the funding to go towards charities that help members of the Secret Service (MI6), (MI5) and GCHQ. So it is clear why the Bond premiere is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and gain support. Producers of the film explained: “(We) are pleased this event will help raise funds to support the Prince’s chosen charities”.
Such a huge event, needs a great venue and where better than the Royal Albert Hall? On October 23rd, the red carpet is expected to be filled with of its glittering cast, including Daniel Craig, Dame Judy Dench, Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem, along with Prince Charles himself and his wife Camilla.
Skyfall will be released in the UK on October the 26th. Here’s a clip of some of actors disucssing what we've got to look forward to.
