The Descendents stars George Clooney, a middle aged dad of two girls who tries to build a relationship with them, when his wife is involved in a boating accident resulting in a coma. Set in Hawaii, this film shows a different perspective of the Idyllic paradise people associate the island with. Clooney’s character shows that no matter where you live and what luxuries you are used to, everyone still experiences pain and suffering.
The script is cleverly written, with witty humour and is an emotional tale of the struggles families face when unexpected turns happen in life. The acting is exceptional and believable, this is a really good piece of gripping drama.
Also starring Shailene Woodley and Amara Miller we see the family come together to try and solve problems without their mother helping. We also get to see Judy Greer playing a different role. She is usually famous for playing the fun, careless and scatty friend of the main character however in this movie you will see a more serious side.
This film is suitable for the whole family and definitely a must see!
