Other | Sunday 1st October 2017 | David

Considered to be the world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees, acclaimed scientist Jane Goodall will soon be the subject of her very own documentary.

The eighty-three-year-old primatologist will have her life documented in the feature-length documentary Jane, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. Deadline reports that the film was edited together from around one-hundred hours of archive footage of Goodall interacting with chimpanzees from back in 1962.

Jane was directed by acclaimed documentary filmmaker Brett Morgen, whose previous credits include Cobain: Montage of Heck, Crossfire Hurricane, and The Kid Stays in the Picture, whilst Oscar nominee Philip Glass composed the soundtrack. The documentary will also be screened at the London Film Festival on the 13th of October.

In addition to her work with primates, Goodall has also become a prominent environmental activist, and you can read about her amazing work on her official website.
