Get unlimited beer at UK's first Belgian Beer Festival
Ales Tales is fast approaching for all the beer lovers out there. The Hackney event is the UK's first ever Belgian craft beer festival!
The event will host tastings of over 60 Belgian beers from 20 breweries, allowing you to sample the best that Belgium has to offer.
The festival runs over this weekend, from July 21st to the 22nd, at Oval Space, with an evening session on Friday, and an afternoon and evening session on Saturday.
The sessions are all 5 hours long to give you all the time you need to get to grips with the taste of authentic Belgium beer, while getting a little squiffy along the way.
Chef Fabrice Rocheteau will be offering various delights such as croquette de crevettes (shrimps croquette), and a selection of another Belgian speciality, cheese.
Tickets are:
£40 for unlimited Belgian beer, a festival glass plus either Belgian chips or meatballs from one of Brussels top chefs, Fabrice Rocheteau
£9 entry only - with £1.50 tokens for 10cl tasters
Nicholas Tondeur, the organiser of Ales Tales explains why the beer fest has been brought to London this year, “UNESCO just added Belgian beer to its Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016 so now we want to showcase our beer’s quality and diversity to the city of London… Expect some of the finest beers from Belgium that you won't find in the UK”
Nicholas co-founded the festival with Sayuri Kasajima, both Belgian expats who have been living in London for the past 4 years. The pair were surprised when they moved to not see their favourite Belgian beers in pubs and supermarkets, feeling that the UK is missing out on all the glorious flavours on offer, hence their motivation to bring these favourites to us.
At Ales Tales there are 60 different craft beers on offer from 20 breweries, handpicked by the experts Nicholas and Sayuri.
