The Star Wars franchise has seen a recent revitalisation these past few years, as now the story is evolving into a cinematic universe with the release of Rouge One last December. This was the first non-Skywalker story to be told in theatrical form, as now we are venturing into new territory.

Lucasfilm will be reintroducing a familiar character next year with the Han Solo spinoff movie, which would however, be Solo as a younger character.

Alden Ehrenreich will be claiming the role of the famous Harrison Ford character and the cast surrounding him is continuously growing, with the newest addition being Michael K. Williams.

However, it is now being rumoured by Variety’s Justin Kroll, who broke that Williams was casted, that Williams may be playing the main villain in the movie.

Michael K. Williams is most notably known for his iconic role in the HBO’s popular series The Wire as he played Omar Little in a show loved by both critics and fans.

The Han Solo movie will be director by both Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and stars Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson as Garris Shrike reportedly and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.

Further details on the plot remain a mystery at this moment.

The movie is expected to hit theatres May 25 2018.
