Star Wars expands with Rogue One debuting in December

After becoming part of the history of cinema and coming back with a stellar success, Star Wars' universe is expanding. The upcoming movie, Rogue One creates a whole new side to the story. 

Star Wars has always been a popular brand. The first movie debuted in 1977 and the saga lasted for six movies ending in 2005 with Star Wars III: 'The Revenge of the Sith'. Last December, the seventh movie was been released and it had a huge impact on pop culture. Right now the Star Wars Universe is unstoppable. 

Rogue One is the first spin-off from the saga. The Academy Awards nominee Felicity Jones will star as Jyn Erso, who is putting behind a troublesome past and is trying to bring the battle to the Empire. The story is set after the foundation of the Galactic Empire and is focused on a wayward band of Rebel fighters which come together to try to steal plans for the Death Star. They will embark on a desperate journey against a terrible threat. 

The official trailer has just aired in America. The setting has a strong and classic Star Wars vibe, and the final footage shows the appereance of a well-known and beloved character. Rogue One has the potential to be an incredible hit at box office and among the fans. The cast includes Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yes, Forest Whitaker, Alan Tudyk, Jonathan Aris and the incredible Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen

We cannot wait to find out more. The movie will officially hit the theatres on December 16, 2016 but in the meanwhile you can check out the trailer below.
