Trump may have won, but so did weed Other | Thursday 10th November 2016 | Arren Cannabis Drugs United States US Election 2016 There was another big winner in the US, cannabis. Whilst Americans headed to the polls to elect their new president, many states also had their say on weed. Four states of five had voted outright to complete legalise cannabis - California, Nevada, Maine and Massachusetts can now spark up a zoot with no fear of criminal charge. They join states Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska who have already legalised weed for recreational use. Arizona voted against it's recreational use, clearly they weren't so convinced. Another four states voted on the drug; Florida, North Dakota, Arkansas & Montana - all passing motions allowing cannabis for medical use. November 8th may have been a tough election day with a big result many don't like, but at least there's some results we do.
