Mount Everest conquering the film scene

It would seem that films telling the stories of Mount Everest have never attracted such high profile actors before, until now.
No other than Christian Bale, is set to star in a British Working Title film, which tells the tale of three different expeditions to Mount Everest. The film will tell the story, where 8 of the climbers from the expeditions died. The story was made famous from Jon Krakauer’s Into Thin Air. This film in particular, will be sourced from various books and interviews with survivors.
This runs alongside another film telling of another tale from Mount Everest, this time starring Tom Hardy. This film will take another angle, as Hardy will play Sir George Malloy, the famous mountaineer who attempted to climb the mountain in the 1920s.
So there we go, we’ll be very well educated on Mount Everest expeditions by the end of the year, thanks to the film industry providing us with these two films. Which should be excellent viewing if the two actors involved stay true to their word!
