Dream team: Labrinth starts work on Rihanna’s new album

RnB/Hip Hop | Friday 10th August 2012 | Osh

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any better for Hackney’s biggest export since Pro-Green, a gig producing tracks for one of the biggest R&B stars in the world has popped up and given him the opportunity to make his mark in the States.

Super popular producer Labrinth has recently confirmed that he has begun working on tracks for Barbadian superstar Rihanna’s forthcoming seventh studio album, the follow-up to the crazy popular Talk That Talk. Joining the likes of Chase & Status, Knife Party, and of course Calvin Harris in the bank of people to have worked with her lately, Lab looks set to make a serious impact on Ri’s latest record which is estimated for release at the end of the year.

Speaking about his approach to the daunting task of creating music for Rihanna, Labrinth has assured fans that he is taking a relaxed approach, letting the music flow naturally into something worthy of one of the biggest names in pop today. Having made his name producing Tinie Tempah’s number-one debut ‘Pass Out’, as well as working with big-name rappers Plan B and Wretch 32, the Electronic Earth star is no stranger to big-name collaborations; he’s been approached by everyone from Usher to The Wanted to Stereophonics, and even had to turn down the chance to work with Beyoncé, so he’s definitely a man in demand!

No word yet on what fruits are coming of Lab’s latest labour, but rest assured that The Guestlist Network will have the latest news when it’s available! You can check out Labrinth’s latest video, for new single ‘Treatment’, below.
