New Trailer for Dolph Lundgren's Blood of Redemption

The only action star to rival Steven Seagal’s movie output, Dolph Lundgren appears in another new movie, entitled ‘Blood of Redemption’. It has been confirmed that production has been completed, and the film will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray in September. Also starring Robert Davi and Vinnie Jones, ‘Blood of Redemption’ is sure to be a fun filled action-fest.
The trailer is as baffling as it is action packed with relatively little revealed about the plot, so here’s hoping the plot isn’t vastly muddled and over complicated as can be the way of DTV [Direct to Video] action movies. Regardless, Lundgren always brings a unique sense of character to his films, delivering hard hitting action and a wry sense of humour that set him apart from many of his contemporaries. Lundgren also genuinely looks like he still enjoys making his films, a point which carries across immeasurably to the viewer.
The first thing we hear is Lundgren confessing ‘Forgive me father for I have sinned, and I still have to’ prompting clips of Lundgren laying a beating down on some hapless goons. But the only thing that you can draw from the trailer in terms of plot is that Lundgren’s character is drawn into some kind of battle started by the death of a man and the capture of his son, who he has failed to protect.
Vinnie Jones and Robert Davi’s characters are not really set up very clearly in the trailer so we have no firm idea whose side they are on, and whether they will be fighting Lundgren later on. It would certainly be a lot of fun to see Jones and Lundgren face off and Jones seems to be relishing his part as some kind of psychotic criminal.
Whatever actually happens in the movie, Lundgren is sure to deliver a rollicking good ride with explosions, bloodshed and beat downs.
