The Muppets Are Back
Kermit and Co are back with their new musical, mystery motion picture The Muppets: Most Wanted which is set to be released in 2014. The ‘semi- sequel’ to the 2011 film The Muppets follows the mayhem that ensues after Kermit encounters his doppelgänger (who also happens to be a master criminal, Constantine) when he and the rest of the Muppets are on a world tour.
In an interview with the famous frog, Kermit said about whether he would be playing Constantine: “No. We talked about putting me in makeup and having me play both roles, but we decided Constantine needed to be a guy who could do a Russian accent. And, you know, I'm a pretty accomplished actor and all, but besides The Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island films, I've only really ever played myself. The great thing is I have like 3,000 relatives back in the swamp, so it was quite easy to find a frog who could play Constantine.”
Other cast members will include Ricky Gervais as Dominic "Number Two", Constantine's sidekick, Ty Burrell as Jean Pierre Napoleon, a French Interpol inspector and Tina Fey as Nadya, a Russian GULAG officer.
