Penthouse pays tribute to Culture frontman Joseph Hill
Donovan Germain produces the upcoming Remembering Joseph Hill Culture a double album paying tribute to famed singer-songwriter Joseph Hill of roots reggae group Culture who passed away in 2006.
“Joseph Hill was one of my favourite artists,” Germain told the Jamaica Observer, “But you don't hear a lot of Culture songs on the radio. I want to introduce him to a different generation.” Queen Ifrica, Marcia Griffiths and Tarrus Riley are among the artists covering songs from the group known for songs like 'Two Sevens Clash' and 'International Herb'.
Expect an early May release for the album. A Dub version of the tribute was already released last November.
