Afropop sensation Stonebwoy drops bubbly ‘Bawasaaba’ visuals

Reggae | Tuesday 23rd January 2018 | Alex

Drawing on the twin influences of afrobeats and dancehall, Stonebwoy has won multiple awards for his feel good vocal tracks. Having become a star in his native country of Ghana, Stonebwoy is now breaking through internationally.

Having collaborated with UK rapper Kojo Funds on 'Falling Again' last year, he has returned with an energetic, stripped back music video for one of the most popular tracks from his latest album – Bawasaaba, meaning 'not easy' in Hausa, one of the languages most commonly spoken throughout western Africa.

The theme of the album is motherhood and it is the concept that pins many of the tracks together. As Stonebwoy explains: “It’s inspired by the good morals, the teachings, the lessons, the anguish and the smiles of life – all the important things in life which are passed on to us by our mothers.

'Epistles Of Mama' (EOM) is out now via Zylofon Music. You can stream it on Spotify below.
