Brand new dubstep label Hotplates Recordings drops weighty first vinyl!
Hotplates Recordings unleashes its first vinyl, a two-track dubstep excursion from German beatmaker OTZ.
Label manager of the noted Subaltern Records, OTZ has been crafting his sound since 2011 – combining detailed instrumentation with a dub-heavy backbone.
Side A, ‘Tabloid’, which has been played on the NTS Roll Thru show, features a wonky, off-kilter melody and rumbling bass that makes for a guaranteed rig-shaker.
Side B, meanwhile, sees OTZ team up with fellow German heavyweights Causa and Conzi on the sub-filled ‘Coin Dub’ – a rare gem that has been sought after by fans for a number of years.
