'I Am Heath Ledger' Docu Celebrates Life Of The Legendary Actor
Heath Ledger was, without a doubt, one of the finest actors of our generation. From his heartbreaking performance in Brokeback Mountain, to his terrifying and Oscar winning performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight, he was was an actor like no other.
Ledger died of an accidental overdose at the age of 28 in 2008, filmmakers Adrian Buitenhuis and Derik Murray are currently working on a feature length documentary called I Am Heath Ledger. Which will explore the life and career of the star who left the world too soon.
Featuring interviews with actors Djimon Hounsou, Naomi Watts, Ben Mendelsohn, directors Ang Lee and Catherine Hardwicke, in addition to Ledger's father Kim and his sister Kate. I Am Heath Ledger will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 23rd, before screening on the Spike TV network on May 17th. A DVD and VOD release will then follow on May 23rd.
Ledger lived a life that deserves the be celebrated, so this documentary is certainly not to be missed.
