October's Upcoming Must See Movies
October is lining up to be an interesting month for film. Here are five we're lookin forward to.
Released 30th September: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
Eva Green stars in this new Tim Burton movie about children with special abilities. Jake Portman is forced to travel to a mysterious island in order to discover the truth of what really happened in a terrible tragedy during his childhood.
Released 7th October: The Girl on the Train
Emily Blunt and Justin Theroux are the protagonists of this mindblowing movie based on the psychological thriller novel of the British writer Paula Hawkins. Rachel Watson takes the train to work every day and starts to fantasize about a young couple living down the street from her ex-husband. After seeing something shocking, she is entangled in a troublesome mystery.
Released 7th October: The Birth of a Nation
An American period drama film, loosely based on the story of Nat Turner, the enslaved man who led a slave rebellion in Southampton County, Virginia, in 1831. Director and star, Nate Parker has been praised by critics for the powerful story. It will be part of the BFI's line-up.
Released 8th October: Manchester By The Sea
Manchester By The Sea will debut at the London Film Festival. The critically acclaimed movie starring Casey Affleck is the story of the sudden death of Joe Chandler and his younger brother Lee who is made legal guardian of Joe's son Patrick Lee. He returns to his hometown, facing a past he left behind. It will be a Gala Headline of the London Film Festival which will start on October the 5th
28th October: Inferno
Tom Hanks returns to star in the sequel of Dan Brown's Da Vinci's Code. Robert Langdon is in a hospital room in Florence with no memory of what has happened over the last few days. He is once again the target of a major manhunt.
