How To: Balance Work & A Social Life Other | Wednesday 23rd March 2016 | Sabrin work survival guide balance social life Balancing work and a social life can drain even the best of us. Most of us don’t actually have the time to be as social as we are with work and friends; yet so often, we feel the need to always be involved. Consider these three tips to be on your way to managing your time properly and finding the right balance: 1 – Don’t be so scared to say no. Fear of missing out won’t get you anywhere where productivity is concerned. Don’t commit to the social events that you know you can’t follow through on and stop being so paranoid that you’re going to miss the greatest night. 2 – Keep a record of your finances. There’s nothing like a financial realisation to make £50 at a bar unappealing. By having a visual record of your finances in your diary on phone, you’ll be able to make better, more informed decisions. 3 – Make Monday your ‘make it happen day’. Start the week digging into your work, then use Tuesday and Wednesday for working through your to-do list and taking action. Use Thursday and Friday to wrap things up. This way, you'll avoid the end of the week panic trying to get everything finished and you’ll feel great allowing yourself to go out and enjoy yourself - you’ve earned it!
