11th December -

By The Sea (Angelina Jolie Pitt) Drama | Romance
A lovey-dovey story set in France about the flourishing romance between a married couple who have found themselves out of love. Directed by Angelina Jolie and starring Brad Pitt, perhaps the subject matter is actually a reflection of the real life relationship of the superstar couple... just with added Va Va Voom.

Ice and the Sky (Luc Jacquet) Documentary
A French documentary about Climate Change by March of the Penguins director, Luc Jacquet. This is definitely one for the Hipsters. On a serious level, this is a well-made documentary focusing around one man's 40 year long love for the Antarctic, and his despair at facing the truth that we are losing it. Of course, the fact that it is coming out around the same time as COP21 in Paris will definitely serve to benefit the film!

Rise of the Footsoldier: Part II (Ricci Harnett) Crime
Following on from last week's Essex Boys: Law of Survival, it seems that English gangster films are dragging themselves out of their graves, Zombie-style! But like zombies, don't expect these films to have much substance or intelligence. Go and see it if you dare, but remember, this article is not a recommendation, it's merely me telling you what's on in the cinema, and sadly, in this case, it's Rise of the Footsoldier: Part II.

Swung (Colin Kennedy) Drama | Romance
Once David has had a taste for the swinging scene, his partner, Alice feels that the poly-amorous world could benefit their relationship. Great idea! That always works when couples are drifting apart - booze-fuelled orgies are always the most romantic way of rekindling a relationship!

12th December -

Sisters (Jason Moore) Comedy
Now, I really did not want to put this film in the list this week, but there is pretty much nothing else to write about, and nobody does a 'Top 4' list, that's just lazy. Two sisters throw a final house party before their parents sell it. Sadly, these two sisters are Amy Poehler (44) and Tina Fey (45). Add in the fact that John Cena is in this, it is pretty much dead in the water before it's even been screened over here.
