Judi Dench is voted Best British film Star (actor/actress) Ever by the British magazine Nostalgia.

The 78-year old Oscar winner, currently known for her role as M in the most recent James Bond movies, just beat Maggie Smith, Michael Caine, Sean Connery and Daniel Day-Lewis. That last one wrote history last week by being the first to win three Oscars for Best Male Lead.

Judi Dench won an Oscar for Best Female Supporting Role in 1999 for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in Shakespeare In Love. The elections were kept because of the ‘Best of British’ edition from Nostalgia, that came out last week.

Sir David Attenborough was voted Most Important Living Brit. Kind Hearts And Coronets was elected Best British Film and Only Fools And Horses Best TV show.
