Top 5 Actors Never To Win An Oscar

Every year fans sit down to watch the Oscars, expectant that their favourite actor will win the big award. But what will shock you are the names on this list, these people deserve Oscars for some of the performances they have produced and it is a travesty that they have never won an acting Oscar.
Leonardo Di Caprio – The Departed, Titanic, Inception, Wolf of Wall Street, Shutter Island, Blood Diamond
At the top of this list it has to be Leonardo Di Caprio who after 20 years in the business has never won the top prize. Despite sensational performances in The Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed and Shutter Island Di Caprio has been overlooked by the Academy. He has been nominated 4 times for the acting prize and once for his role in making The Wolf of Wall Street. He must be wondering what it will take to finally get the award!
Brad Pitt – Snatch, Fight Club, Moneyball,
Pitt may have won an Oscar for helping produce 12 Years A Slave but he has not yet won the big award despite playing some of the most iconic characters of all time! Pitt has portrayed Irishman Mickey O'Neil in a more comedic type role as well as heartless, Nazi hating Aldo Raine in Inglorious Basterds. He has been nominated for the big gong 3 times in his career but he could have many more.
Johnny Depp – Edward Scissorhands, Pirates of the Caribbean, Donnie Brasco, What's Eating Gilbert Grape
Depp has a reputation for being a witty and mainly comedy type actor but I must digress he is much more than that. Depp has many layers in his performances and has completed many different types of role. His role as Captain Jack Sparrow is his most famous and for sure the reason that the series keeps on fanning out sequels, although the films themselves may be getting worse. Depp's performances have most certainly not.
Edward Norton – Fight Club, American History X, The Illusionist
Norton is definitely one of the most talented actors of his generation and has played a part in some of the best movies of all time. These include Fight Club and American History X, these films are cult classics and would not have been the same without his performances. I think it is time the academy realised they are making some really bad mistakes.
Tom Cruise – Top Gun, Jerry Maguire, A Few Good Men, Magnolia
Many memorable performances have come from this fantastic actor. Cruise will always be remembered for roles as Jerry Maguire and Ethan Hunt. Although he is not known for his acting because of his appearances in action films like Mission Impossible Cruise is a very talented actor and was memorable as Charlie Babbitt in Rain Man. 3 nominations for Cruise but not one award to date.
