New Matt Gresham single, 'Home', is both melodic and meaningful
With a powerful, yet soft and melodic voice, it’s no surprise that singer-songwriter, Matt Gresham, got so far on Australian X-factor back in 2013. Going from strength to strength ever since, he is back with his new single, 'Home'.
'Home' is a moving song that tells the story of getting out of something, where you no longer feel comfortable, to find a place you really belong, a place with the person you love. The video shows Matt venturing alone across Perth in Australia to find a place he can call home, the video also features beautiful shots of sunsets, beaches and forests.
The mix of gentle guitar, enchanting piano, positive back-beat and of course Matt's brilliant voice makes the song easily comparable to a more poppy version of bands like Mumford and Sons. Though the lyrics to the song itself are quite sad and thought-provoking, the ultimate message is a happy one, and this is assisted by an upbeat feel-good chorus, creating a wonderful bitter-sweet song you won’t be able to get out of your head.
