The Virtual Band Are Back: Gorillaz Take Storm!
Due to an unprecedented demand, the feel good group Gorillaz have had to place tickets on sale, yet again.
The Gorillaz homecoming was decidedly anticipated following the huge release of their 5th studio album Humanz. The album was released on April 28th, their first record in over 7 years, receiving widespread critical acclaim.
The band continued to set their comeback ablaze; Gorillaz scored the most successful debut in YouTube VR history with the Jamie Hewlett-directed 360° six-minute animated film ‘Saturnz Barz (Spirit House), as well as releasing a super-deluxe 14 piece vinyl box set with all of their new unreleased tracks on 12 inch records to keep the fans continuously keen.
The virtual band’s return to the live arenas is an excitably foreseen event, and to prove it, the band are adding extra dates in London and Paris to their forthcoming tour this autumn due to unprecedented demand.
The 'Humanz Tour' will see the Murdoc Niccals (bass), Noodle (guitar), Russel Hobbs (drums) and 2D (vocals) joined on stage by the Gorillaz live band – Damon Albarn, Gabriel Wallace, Mike Smith, Jesse Hackett, Jeff Wootton, Karl Vanden Bossche, Seye Adelekan – as well as selected performers from the stellar roll call of Gorillaz’ family of featured artists.
