DJ Mark Knight to Give All Proceeds of His New Project to Charity

Well-known DJ and producer, Mark Knight has been working on a new project titled, “A Year in the Life” which comprises a documentary tracking his events and travels throughout 2015 as well as a new artist led album.

The documentary will give us an insight into the artist’s, including the roles he has to play as an artist as well as a father, and will give a look into the side of the DJ not many fan have seen.

In a recent interview, the DJ stated, “I balance my career and my family and make these two worlds exist simultaneously.”

“I try to live a very normal life, with, let’s be honest, a not very normal job. I feel it’s important for people to see the real me.”

Both the album and the documentary will be a collection of Mark’s finest work from 2015. The documentary giving a looking into the man behind the artist, the album compliments his skills and talent as a producer.

When asked about his charity work, he explained that, “There’s never a wrong time to be doing something for charity.”

“Travelling to different countries around the world is an amazing opportunity, and yes lots of fun, but you also see poverty and inequality in action.”

He then went on to speak based on experience, saying, “Since having a son, and him being of the age where he now misses me, it makes me think differently.”

“I’m sure lots of parents would agree that having children of your own opens your eyes, and gives you a stronger empathy for the lives of children around the world who are a lot less fortunate than your own.”

DJ Mark Knight has collaborated with many other artists including, Harry Romero, Coyu and Indiana, Adrian Hour, Chus & Ceballos and Prok & Fitch. All the proceeds from the project will be donated to War Child charity, a charity which the artist is particularly passionate about.
