Breaking dawn? Or breaking Razzie award records?

Tuesday 26th February 2013 | Suzanne

This year it finally happened, the Twilight franchise came to an end, leaving Twi-hards devastated and Twilight haters relieved. Of course there is always some bias when reviewing the Twilight franchise, which might make one wonder if all that negativity from the common movie goer is justified. Was the final closer of the franchise really as bad? Well, according to the Golden Raspberry Awards, it was. Breaking Dawn: part 2, has received not 1, not 2 but 7 Raspberry awards. One of these even included the ‘Worst picture of 2012 award’. And the other awards have not been exactly glamorous either. Kirsten Stewart was granted the honour to receive the ‘Worst Actress’ award and Taylor Lautner was graced with an award referring to his important role as worst supporting actor. Of course director ‘Bill Condon’ couldn’t leave without an honourable mention as well. He received an award complementing his abilities to be the worst director of 2012. Well, there is a lot to be said about the last Twilight movie, but there’s one thing no one can deny, and that is that the movie sure is good at being bad. And now they have the awards to prove it.
