Marilyn Monroe is an icon. Countless bedroom walls, even decades after her death, are plastered with pictures of her face. Still thought of as one of the most beautiful women to have lived, her fame followed her after the grave. However, it isn’t just Monroe’s talent or beauty that surrounds her still to this day, but rather the mystery and conspiracy of her death.
JI Baker’s novel “The Empty Glass” weaves some of the countless theories surrounding her death together from the perspective of the coroner. The unfortunate soul is the first on the scene for this movie stars death, however on the search for truth the disorder and danger of Monroe’s death begins to taint his life. The rights to this thought provoking conspiracy novel has been bought by Winkler Films- try not to laugh at the name. Although no director or studio has been linked with the potential film as of yet, with Winkler's reputation, and the fascination with Monroe still standing strong today, it would be no surprise if this film hit our screens soon.
