Think like a man is a real eye opening film based on the novel Act like a lady Think like a Man by Steve Harvey about relationships and gender differences in society today. He looks to give advice and opinions (a tell all) about what men really think and do whereas to what women want from them and where they see any relationship going wrong and where they can improve. It brings people to see the funny and humorous side to what the real issues are within but at the same time dealing with the issues.
The film directed by Tim Story known for The Fantastic Four and The Barbershop, sets aside four situations where both Men and Women are faced in society today. Trying to live up to the expectations of the somebody else, Bringing up a previous partners child, career goals and aspirations and where one may be looking forward as a relationship e.g. Marriage/House/Children.
Four friends try to conspire to turn the tables on their women when they realise their women have been using Steve Harvey's book about relationship advice against them. The film aims to confront the challenges faced for Men and Women. The motto “Act like a lady Think like a man” is used as a way of suggesting men are the real problem within a relationship but men are content and easy going but women will always want more and seem to have had enough. This is where they fight fire with fire using a man’s way of thinking to deceive them into get ting what they really want. Battle of the Sexes.
The film at times can be very funny due to Kevin Hart's wittiness and comic lines. The attractive male and female stars makes the film a must see, it features Mya (Meagan Good), Lauren (Taraji P. Henson), Kristen (Gabrielle Union) and Candace (Regina Hall), Zeke (Romany Malco) Dominic (Michael Ealy) Jeremy (Jerry Ferrara) Bennett (Gary Owen) Michael (Terrence J). As many would say, they understand some of the situations or personality traits they see in both genders and can see some of the dilemmasthat they are in.
The film is not biased only that women always seem to get their way if there is going to be a stress free relationship. The film does conclude with a happy ending but there will always be problems along the way whereby men tend to get comfortable or women get fed up. A definite must see by any standards.
