Bridesmaids, Better Than The Hangover?

This movie has been widely advertised as being 'better than The Hangover', a statement which is untrue due to the simple fact that, just because one of the films focuses on a group of men on a stag night, and the other on a group of women on the equivalent, the two are not really not that comparable; there are a number of differences to set the two apart.
The Hangover is funny in obvious and masculine terms. But women tend to have a harder time in terms of comedy... many people claim they simply do not find most female comedians that funny. This film serves as a welcome reminder that women, their issues, daily lives and personalities are indeed extremely funny, in a very unique way. Sometimes slapstick, sometimes incredibly subtle, Bridesmaids will make girls laugh as they recognize elements of themselves in the extremely well-cast characters.
It's ridiculous (and welcome) to witness women so lacking in dignity (defecating in the street in a wedding dress, getting drunk and kissing each other, being sexually aggressive toward men, and much more). And there are a number of laugh-out-loud moments so perfect in their recognition of female absurdity that this is a must-see for all women (and possibly their very, very tolerant boyfriends).
