Drake working hard to finish his album on time

RnB/Hip Hop | Tuesday 3rd September 2013 | Daniel

Canadian rapper Drake has revealed he’s currently sleeping in the studio on a blow up mattress in order to ensure his forthcoming album is finished in time for its expected release date.

Drake’s massively anticipated third album, Nothing Was the Same, is set to be released September 24th, with many industry insiders speculating that the megastar’s third album could go platinum in its first week of release; a rare feat with significantly deflated sales figures in previous years.

In recent conversation with Rolling Stone magazine, Drake explained his obligation to hand in the recordings by September 9th for mastering if the album is to be ready for it’s due release date: "We have just 10 days before we turn it in. I'm literally sleeping in the studio on an air mattress. We're working 24-hour days to make sure the story is done, front to back. It has to be a new point of discovery."

Nothing Was the Same is set to include features from the likes of Lil Wayne, Jay Z and 2 chains. However what’s notable is one lacking feature, with no mention of an anticipated Kendrick Lamar verse; perhaps Drake doesn’t want to be shown up on his own album.
