Signed to Janelle Monae’s Wonderland Records in 2015, his debut album The Chief has finally dropped. A genre-busting and experimental entrance, it’s everything that you could want from the new wave of modern Hip Hop artists, which Jidenna is destined to join.
His popularity is soaring at the moment, in part, due to the feature of the banging Classic Man in Moonlight.
Jidenna’s unique and thoughtful sound moves from soulful tunes such as Bambi - to dark evocative lyrics and rolling beats that can’t help but rile you up in Long Live the Chief and Chief Don’t Run.
