Half of this years’ Best Reggae Album Grammy nominees weren't Jamaican
The US reggae scene is growing steadily and for the first time in history, 3 out of the 6 nominees in the category are American artists. This reflects a change in the genre, as almost all previous nominees from the reggae category have been Jamaican. Ziggy Marley, born in Kingston, Jamaica, took home the award for his album ‘Ziggy Marley’, making this his seventh grammy in the category.
