Ain’t Nothin’ But…. Jazz

Friday 21st June 2013 | Negar

I have recently discovered a new Jazz bar, and already, it’s become one of my favourite places! It’s somewhere hidden behind Carnaby Street, in-between Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street. It’s such a small place and it gets crowed ever so quickly, every day of the week so you’ll be lucky to grab a seat! There are only a few seats around the little stage up front and maybe a few stalls around the bar. You’ll see guitar cases, instruments and signed photographs pinned and hanging on the ceilings/walls, this little place will truly keep you entertained throughout the night! With live music seven days a week, you can never be bored! Drinks aren’t that expensive, and you’ll most certainly see a lot of beer! Food is also served at the bar, but nothing more than snacks.. that is nachos and hot dogs! (But it’s totally worth it!) You get the bar’s known bands playing at-least three times a week and then you also get guest bands preforming every-now and then. Each night there’ll be two performances; with the earliest starting at 6:30pm. Club’s open every single day of the week with free admission throughout the night, and on Fridays and Saturdays it’s only free before 8:30pm. After that, it’s a small fee of £7 at the door.

Opening hours are: Monday – Thursday: 5pm – 1am

                                    Fridays: 5pm – 2:30am

                                    Saturdays: 3pm – 2:30am

                                    Sunday: 3pm – midnight

Its just like a magical getaway to the land of blues and jazz as soon as you step foot inside the bar. But do expect it to be overcrowded. Expect to stand. And expect to struggle going to the bar! Never the less, as soon as the band starts playing, none of that will matter! You’ll be enjoying the music and the night effortlessly!  It is one of the must go places in London!

Address is: 20 Kingly Street, Soho, W1B 5PZ
