The 83rd jumps on Eryn Allen Kane
Brookyln-based producer The 83rd remixes Eryn Allen Kane’s soulful yet minimalist track ‘Have Mercy’, set to drop on 12th February.
The 83rd, aka Will McNair, has worked with some of the biggest names in the biz - he produced Angel Haze’s hugely influential ‘New York’, made remixes for Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey, and his rework of Tinashe’s ‘Boss’ featured on a collaborative remix EP with Giraffage and Ryan Hemsworth.
Over the course of his career Will has developed his own unique production style, stemming from his free-flowing and artistic outlook. As he explains, “true beauty is knowing how to pull the best out of every expression...I love to experiment, dream in sound and sight and to marry the two in the most innovative and immersive ways possible. I’m genre-less, I write what I hear without limits or expectations”. His minimalist version of 'Have Mercy' allows Eryn's soulful vocals to take centre stage, echoing hauntingly over the subtle bassline he worked into the track.
