Jaafar shares 'Yara' off the back of Billboard Charting song, 'Sixteen'

Jordanian pop singer Jaafar has shared his latest single, 'Yara' which has already gained half million views.

Jaafar is currently working on his new album to be released later this year, featuring a Grammy Award-winning production team lead by acclaimed producers Jonathan Fuzessy and Iker Gastaminza, who collectively hold credits for their work with internationally renowned superstars such as Shakira, Christina Aguilera, and Ricky Martin.

Inspired by the works of English singer-songwriter and humanitarian Peter Gabriel, or the musings of legendary British rock band The Police led by prolific musician and singer Sting, Jaafar began his music journey by singing at a young age, and later in his teen years he would learn to play the guitar as a necessity to write his own music.

Jaafar’s music could be best described as a merging of sounds and styles, from the likes of UK jazz-pop singer Jamie Cullum, or Senegalese singer Youssou N'Dour packed together with the complex instrumentation of legendary jazz band Weather Report. His blend of western and eastern ideas seamlessly mix through traditional oriental themes, incorporating hints of jazz or funk into an already intricate sound.

Jaafar’s latest single ‘Yara’ is an instant seasonal classic; Eastern inspired percussion, melodious pianos and deep basslines sit atop high-spirited energies and atmosphere as ambient guitar tones, warm flutes and vibrant drum patterns complete a fusion-soaked sound fit for non-stop listening fulfilment. Showcasing sincere, intimate lyrics and a full fusion sound, Jaafar’s inspiring and polished vocal work proves he an artist not to be overlooked, and it’s completely plain to see why.
