Featuring the likes of John Kearns, Harry Hill and Isy Suttie (Dobby from Peep Show), the Christmas Comedy Weekend looks like it’s going to be fun. The annual stand up comedy event at the aptly named HoHo theatre is in aid of the charity Shelter and is hugely popular with tickets at a premium.
Movie
Event: Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Closest Tube Stop: (Depending on Cinema)
It’s the movie event that every Sci-Fi fan has been buzzing off, the release of the latest film in the Star Wars saga, and if the feedback is anything to go by (which it usually is), then this is one film that is not to be missed.
The movie retains much of the cast from the old film including a 73 year old Harrison Ford who plays Han Solo, and Mark Hamill who keeps his role as Luke Skywalker.
Music
Event: Grandmaster Flash
Closest Tube Stop: Brixton
Grandmaster Flash is one of Hip-Hop’s godfathers and tonight he will be playing at the increasingly popular Electric Brixton.
With N.W.A’s induction into the Rock n Roll hall of fame announced this week, Grandmaster Flash could be quick to remind Dr. Dre that he was the first hip-hop artist to receive the honour, with tonight promising to be a must-attend for all fans of the genre.
