A new chapter in the Boomtown story unfolds

Boomtown is a 50,000 capacity pop-up city where post apocalyptic Mad Max meets Burning Man meets secret cinema in an immersive playground of creativity, life immitating art, interactive sideshows and live theatre.
Creating a identity in today's saturated festival industry in its success. Something the organizers of Boomtown Fair managed to get right from the start so now Chapter 7 of this illustrious affair takes place from 13th to the 16th of August and it promises to be a belter. Your encouraged to play the part and choose which part of the city you would like to be part of. Everyone who enters the city becomes a character within the ever unfolding story.
Split into districts, the Boomtown city has been slowly taking shape over the last few months but will now see a few changes to previous Chapters. You will now have a brand new immersive Psy experience, which will take over a new woodland space on the outskirts of the city. Already dubbed as the biggest PSY experience in the UK, their will be stage structures built, a 60k surround sound system ready to be unleashed with the amazing decor team who are full steam ahead in creating a brand new visual feast. ladies and gentlemen, this will be a fully immersive, psychedelic journey like no other.
For the faithful citizens who regularly attend Boomtiwn Fair, Trenchtown has now re-located to 'Temple Valley' for Chapter 7.
The mighty 'Lions Den' stands proud in a previously untouched and incredible new amphitheatre creating the perfect sound and visual treat. Add to this the return of the Hidden Woods stage and the Tangled Roots Dub arena, TrenchTown will definitely be rocking this year!
For those already attending, the scene has already started to unfold through the many messages that are transmitted over their social media pages and websites. This only just adds to the excitement and create a sense belonging to all their faithful patrons who love the BoomTown affair year in, year out.
Most festivals are content with having one theme to stick to throughout the event, but not BoomTown; with nine completely different districts making up this bonkers fantasyland of ultimate escapism, all fancy-dress bases are covered! From the backstreet barbers in the Wild West to the glamourous ladies-who-lunch of Mayfair Avenue, there’s a whole plethora of characters just waiting to take up residence in one of the unique areas of the city. BoomTown, taking place over 13th - 16th August at the Matterley Estate nr. Winchester, has already announced all 500 plus acts performing this year, including Stephen Marley, Flogging Molly, Shy FX, Soja, DJ EZ, Barrington Levy, David "Ram Jam" Rodigan, Mungo's Hi-Fi, Goldie, Dillinger, John Butler Trio, Less Than Jake, 20 Years of Metalheadz, LTJ Bukem, Top Buzz, RatPack, Toddla T and MC DRS with hundreds more acts across nearly every conceivable genre, the details for each of the city’s districts can now be unveiled, along with all the madcap and bizarre venues to be found within them. With so many districts, streets, venues and sideshows to take in, the ever creative powerhouse of BoomTown Fair have launched their very own news channel, BTN, to deliver short, snappy news bulletins outlining each of the districts and all the wonders that can be found within! The organizers have also been working on how to make things louder inside the city while remaining quiet on the outside. Probably no mean feat, however something which they have achieved, which in return will deliver an even more spellbinding experience for the masses.
The Boomtown fair will be opening soon, and the Guestlist citizens cannot wait to unleash our "inner characters" and get swallowed up in this grand and immersive festival....Roll on BOOMTOWN!
