London’s largest open air Contemporary Art Fair will be taking place once again in Josephine Avenue (Brixton) on the 13th and 14th July 2013. You’ll get a chance of meeting artists face-to-face with thousands of pieces of work on display. From street-art to printmaking and mixed media to photography, no matter what kind of art you love, you will be dazzled with the created work exhibited along the railings.
Being the 11th year running, this annual event has aimed is to make the street art bigger and better this yeas! The street artists will come together to create like work on nine graffiti walls during these two days. Also, to celebrate London Underground’s 150th Anniversary, the artists will be spraying a life-size image of London Tube Train that will be exhibited in Brixton Square the following week.
Last year Urban Art 2012 showcased over 170 exhibitors with thousands of visitors enjoying the art on the street. So make sure you art lovers head down to one of Brixton’s hidden treasures to view and even buy some amazing art! The event will also be raising money for local charities, so it definitely is worth going!
