Chief Keef: The young Chicago native has already been signed to Interscope Records, collaborated with Kanye West; 50 Cent; Waka Flocka Flame, has threatened to slap Lupe Fiasco and has Drake claiming that he loves his music. So what is it about this rapper that has attracted so much attention?
Well, he has a very distinctive rap style, typically rapping in a monotone over hood beats produced mainly by friend Young Chop. His biggest tracks to date are Bang, I Don’t Like (which, if you’ve been listening to radio at all this year, you will have heard) and Love Sosa. I Don’t Like has been remixed by Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music and Rick Ross also laid down a verse over it. If you haven’t already check out his mixtape ‘Back From the Dead’, book tickets for his show at indigO2 and wait for his debut album ‘Finally Rich’ which is scheduled for release December 18th.
