Friday 27th September 2013 | Osh
On the 28th September 2013 we’ve lined up an unforgettable night of positive vibrations and high energy bass lines inna Brixton. Celebrating nearly three decades at the top of his game, DJ Derek, has chosen 2013 as the year he hangs up his headphones and we've managed to get him back to Reggae Roast for his last London gig.
The Reggae Roast Jamdown sessions are famous for showcasing the best dubwise acts from across the globe at Plan B, arguably South London's best club venue. With an EXTRA 10K OF BASS being added to the already massive Funktion-One sound system (just for this event) cheap & tasty cocktails (supplied by Wray And Nephews) and an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, there is no reason to miss this very special night.
Dj Derek is a Bristol, in fact a British legend. Selecting Ska, Rocksteady and Soul music for nearly three decades he has gained respect and fans from all over the world. Now coming to the end of his career as a selector, this session will be his last gig in London before he retires and we’ve pulled out all the stops to make this a wicked dance! Foundation Reggae, old and new is the trade of the mighty Trojan Sound System. Formed in 2004 of London sound system legends like selector Daddy Ad and vocalists Superfour plus Chucky Banton, they represent the label in England and throughout the world.
